Condyloma, also known as anal warts, are growths found on the skin around the anus (rectal opening) or in the lower rectum. What causes anal warts? Anal warts are caused by the human papilloma virus, which is usually transmitted through sexual contact but not necessarily through anal intercourse. Anal warts are small warts that can occur inside and around the anus. core tip we report a case of condyloma acuminatum (ca) in a patient who underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection (esd). Although most cases of ca have been treated with surgery or immunotherapeutic techniques, the rate of local recurrence is high because of difficulty detecting a precise margin of the lesion, especially those located in the anal canal. Anal papanicolaou (pap) smear cytology consists of using anal swabs to sample cells from the anal canal and can be used for both screening patients considered high-risk (see list above) and as follow up after anal dysplasia has been treated. Unfortunately, up to 45 of patients can have a false-positive test by anal pap for anal dysplasia. Anal warts are small warts that can occur inside and around the anus. In most cases, the warts do not cause discomfort or pain, so infected individuals may not know that the warts exist. Anal sils are an increasingly prevalent condition associated with hpv infection and condylomata and can occur both externally and internally within the anal canal. Sils range from low- to high-grade and the progression to high-grade dysplasia (hsil) may be an intermediate stage toward malignant transformation to squamous cell carcinoma of the anus. Anal warts (condyloma acuminata) are caused by the human papilloma virus (hpv), the most common sexually transmitted disease (std). The warts affect the area around and inside the anus, but may also develop on the skin of the genital area. A randomized, controlled, molecular study of condyloma acuminata clearance during treatment with imiquimod. Application of imiquimod by suppositories (anal tampons) efficiently prevents recurrences after ablation of anal canal condyloma.
